The Simons Foundation through Research and Graduate Studies in Mathematics and its applications (RGSMA) is organizing a Workshop to be held at the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), Palapye (Botswana) on November 16-17, 2018. The program will be held in conjunction with the 2018 Southern Africa Mathematical Sciences Association (SAMSA 2018, Nov. 19-22, 2018) Annual Conference hosted by BIUST and MASAMU workshop. The activity is intended for early PhD students who apply Stochastic Analysis and Dynamical Systems in their research. The RGSMA welcomes applicants for participating in the workshop. Participants to this conference may also attend the SAMSA-2018 conference and MASAMU workshop. The application for participation submission period begins on 1st June 2018 and will be closed on 31st August 2018. A limited number of grants are available to students from Universities in the SADC region. The conference involved an amalgamation of great minds in The Mathematics Field who came together to share ideas through powerful topics and discussion between November 18th and 27th 2016.

The conference included plenary sessions, invited talks and parallel sessions. The conference proved to be a valuable experience for students and professors alike. It represented an excellent opportunity for attendees to interact and exchange ideas with conference participants from across the world. The spirit of collaboration was strong in this, a conference organized and facilitated by The Simons Foundation through The Research and Graduate studies in mathematics and its applications (RGSMA).

Students and participants had nothing but praise for (RGSM) programme administrators Prof. Edward Lungu and Prof. Habtu Zegeye current of Botswana International University of Science and Tech (BIUST) for their kind cooperation and astute management of the project.
